As well as filling the part of me that needs to gamble, online poker is worth its weight in hard cash. I've played almost a dozen times now and have only failed to make the money once. If you possess a sound logic then may I recommend it as a hobby?
Even half lashed (as I am tonight) I found it rather easy to stay ahead of the nobbos and only poor luck prevented me from finishing top of the tree. There are so many fruitloops who can't resist the chance of becoming chip leader when it's rather irrelevant, or who get caught up in macho bullshit. If you stay calm and play the odds then you'll get some money. There is luck (which has worked for me, and recently against me) but just playing it on the odds will mean thet you'll finish in the money more often than not.
